This Saturday, February 15th, will mark the second annual TEDxWooster event. TEDxWooster is an independently organized event in the spirit of TED. TED is a non-profit focused on technology, innovation and design, and the host of the popular TEDTalks series. TED allows individuals and groups to bring TED to their communities. TEDxWooster has been organized by Christina Haupt 14′ with the help of Launch. 9 different speakers, a student band, and a student vocalist have been invited to the TEDxWooster stage to give their perspectives on this year’s theme – Double  Take.

The event will be held in Freedlander Theater from 1:30pm – 6:30pm. There will be two breakout sessions during which attendees can participate in activities, network, talk with the speakers, and snack on food catered by Spoon Market. TEDxWooster is free and open to the public so join us!

Launch gears up for the 2nd annual TEDxWooster

On Febraury 15th, Launch will help to host the 2nd annual TEDxWooster event. For those of you familiar with TEDTalks, TEDx is an independently organized TED event. TEDxWooster is has been made possible over the past two years by senior Christina Haupt who had the passion and the drive to put the event together. This year, Launch has helped Christina with the planning and organization of the event which will take place on Saturday, February 15th in Freedlander Theater. This year’s theme – “Double Take” – reflects TEDxWooster’s 2nd year in existence. It is also a reminder that people, situations and certain events are not always as they seem, and second chances are a must. This year,  there will be nine different speakers and two bands giving their own spin on the theme of Double Take.

The event is free and open to the public so join us on February 15th! Doors open at 1:30pm, the event begins at 2pm and lasts until 6:30pm. There will be catering from Spoon Market during breakout/networking sessions.
