The College of Wooster’s Entrepreneurship Club gets re-named

Launch (1) In 2008, some daring students and a professor submitted a charter for Wooster’s Entrepreneurship Club or WEC. Some where between 2008 and 2011 when I came to school as a freshman, the acronym “WEC” had been lost and “E-club” had taken its place. The new name was catchy and much easier to pronounce and write, however, it many people didn’t know what it stood for or believed it stood for “Economics Club.” After much deliberation at the end of last year, the club decided to rename itself to Launch. The name was chosen because it reflects the club’s new focus – to help launch student businesses on campus and promote entrepreneurship.
